Poultry Litter Composting / Pasteurization

During the year 2007, the Brown Bear Corp has made significant advancements with the Poultry (Broiler) Industry in USA and Canada. The word has spread so rapidly, that other Countries are making enquiries thru their local Brown Bear Corp Dealerships. The only exposure to the Poultry Industry that Brown Bear (BB) has had was a Booth at the International Poultry Expo at Atlanta, some months ago and a few small ads in US Magazines.

This started about 4 years ago in USA with a few specific locations that were having trouble land applying litter due to over applications in years past and has continued building slowly in sales volume.
 
The year of 2007, the Delmarva area (constitutes parts of Delaware, Maryland and Pennsylvania) lost most of their saw mills and the cost to integrators and growers has sky rocketed due to increased bedding costs from freighting in wood shavings from North Carolina. All together the bedding cost for the 4 major integrators’ has exceeded US$77million per year in 2007. This, along with some disease problems has prompted the major integrators to consider composting the bedding.

The process has been accelerated further by cooperative studies done by the University of Delaware/Brown Bear and major integrators. They have been very successful in showing the following results from composting between flocks:

 As a result of the increased activity in the US broiler market area, orders have also been very active, is spite of the devastating USA economical down-turn. Tyson Industries (2nd largest producer in US) just announced it is mandatory for all their corporate and contracted houses to compost between flocks using the Brown Bear machines. Other producers and contractors are following suit. This has been a blessing for the US/Canadian Poultry Industry, Employment and Brown Bear Corp.
